Ali Young, Research Assistant

Ali Young has recently joined the department as a research assistant, after fifteen years of experience of working at CAMHS, the Access and First Response Service and the Iris Centre. She is a trained social worker and family therapist, who also has a Masters in Positive Psychology Coaching. Her PhD, funded by The Centre for Leadership Studies at Exeter University, on leadership, wellbeing and spirituality, was written within an eco-feminist framework.

She has special interests in both mindfulness and anti-oppressive practices, that contribute to the creation of greater inclusion and equality of access, to both research participation and free health care.
