Get involved in research

Research and development is at the heart of everything we do. We want to make sure that our staff, people use our services and carers have every opportunity to take part in and benefit from research and development.

In 2024, 1,876 patients, carers and colleagues took part in over 37 studies. We would like to thank them for taking part in helping shape a better future for everyone.

We cannot do research alone

Meaningful research and development cannot be done in isolation. Whether you have on-the-ground knowledge, lived experience, clinical expertise, or academic skills, we want you to take part in, deliver and help design leading projects.

This can be:

  • Helping researchers design a study with patient and public involvement
  • Taking part in studies and accessing the latest treatments
  • Learning about and sharing our news and findings
  • Joining our team to start your own research journey.

We want our research to continue to make an impact and to do this we need to ensure that we are looking at research areas that are important to the people using our services and communities.

We want to give people every opportunity to get involved in research, whether that is taking part, choosing topics or helping design studies.
