I'm finding it difficult to manage my emotions and feelings

Feelings and symptoms are different for everyone, depending on what they may be experiencing.

It's normal to experience some stress and anxiety, and at some point in our lives many of us will become depressed. Stress, anxiety and depression can all have an impact on our ability to manage our feelings and emotions.

Recognising that you're having difficulties is a positive step and there is help available to make you feel better.

What to do

You can find tips, guides, tools and activities to support and improve your mental health on the NHS website.

If the way you are feeling is affecting you daily life you are not alone and help is available. You can speak to your GP. They can help you to identify the best way to get help with your symptoms, including referring you TALKWORKS, Devon's NHS talking therapies service.

TALKWORKS is not able to offer treatment for all mental health problems and is not a crisis response service. You can self-refer, but before doing so, please read the information about what TALKWORKS can help with to see if the service can meet your needs.

If you are in crisis call 111 and select the mental health option or visit urgent help for more information.
