Our intent
We will actively tackle discrimination and widen participation in care design, delivery and and employment.
We will do this by
- Delivering the Together Strategy priorities, with explicit focus on carers
- Tackling discrimination and promoting social justice, including our commitment to being an anti-racist organisation, embedding the patient and carer race equality framework and working with national experts to take tangible action
- Supporting employment and reducing exclusion due to mental health
- Learning from local community and neighbourhood initiatives, such as the poverty truth commission in Ilfracombe and One Mental health team in Exeter
Success by 2030 means
- Measurable progress on anti-racism and workforce diversity
- Improved access and outcomes for marginalised groups
- More people with lived experience supported into employment
- Increased role of peer support in care delivery
