Overview
We want to understand more about psychosis and related conditions. To do so, this study will collect information about you from clinical (medical) records, from blood and other samples, and from questionnaires.
Overall, we aim at improving the lives of individuals experiencing psychosis, by:
- Understanding these conditions better, including risk factors.
- Helping to develop tailored early treatment approaches.
- Allowing us to recruit people for future studies.
Summary
You will be invited to take part in one or more baseline study visit(s), lasting between 1 and 2 hours. This visit will be held at an approved NHS or University site, or in some circumstances, it may be possible to do this at your home. Following your study visit, you will be asked to complete additional questions and cognitive tasks (brain games) via electronic means within one month of your baseline study visit and every six months thereafter for a maximum of 3 years, though you can stop at any time. A phone app is under development and will be offered to you as an option for completing the questions and a cognitive task when it is ready.
If you optionally consent, you may be also invited to share your experiences of completing these tasks. This will be in the form of either questionnaires, interviews, or discussion groups. Any feedback requests are voluntary. We will contact you if you are eligible for the interviews or discussion groups and provide you with more information at the time.
