Easy Read version of Clinical Strategy 2025
Clinical Strategy 2025 (Easy Read)
A Clinical Strategy is a plan.
We (DPT) have refreshed our Clinical Strategy for 2025-2028.
Refreshed means we have brought the strategy up to date so it talks about things that will still be important in 2028.
Six principles
A principle is an idea or belief that guides you. Our (DPT's) principles guide our future pieces of work.
There are 6 principles in our Clinical Strategy.
Personalised care that is safe and effective (it works).
Prevention of ill health and early intervention - making sure that people get the help they need to be healthy and keep well.
Promoting independence - helping people do as much for themselves as they can.
Positively embracing technology and digital solutions for people - helping people use technology to help them get or keep their independence. For example: an Alexa.
Partnerships and collaboration - how DPT works with other organisations and companies.
Population approach to mental health - using data about people in Devon to help shape what we do.
6 priorities
A priority is something important. Priorities in this case are parts of the service we (DPT) need to think about and make plans for.
There are 6 priorities in the Clinical Strategy:
Children and young people.
People with serious and complex needs.
Eliminating (removing) barriers to good care.
Hospital services.
People's physical health.
Using technology to help support more people but recognising the need for face-to-face support too.
