    How we can help

Our focus is on assisting people with complex psychosis in their journey towards recovery, using a wide range of rehabilitation resources.

Our aim is to help you with all aspects of your recovery including your mental, emotional and psychological wellbeing, physical health, daily activities and vocational rehabilitation.

We strongly believe in working collaboratively with you to help you build a meaningful and satisfying life.

During your stay

Following admission, you will have a period of assessment of your recovery needs. Your team will listen to your story to understand more about your experiences, your goals and how they can help you to achieve them. Using this information the team will work with you to put together a care plan. We will also work together with you (and your family and friends where we can) to identify those areas in your life you would like to improve and develop.

You will have the opportunity to take part in activities, sessions and group activities, which we strongly encourage to support your rehabilitation.

You will be allocated named professionals who will be responsible for your care whilst in hospital.

We want to provide intensive support, promote recovery and offer hope. Your support will extend beyond your inpatient stay. We will work with you, your housing provider, or care providers, to help you move back to the community and more independent living.

We will provide you with more detailed information when you are admitted.

Leaving Cypress

Planning your discharge with you, your relatives and friends from hospital starts soon after admission. This will be discussed with your keyworker, discharge facilitator, and at your multi-disciplinary team ward meetings.

From the very beginning of your stay, we want to help you think about the purpose of your admission and what you would like to achieve during your time with us.

By planning your discharge with you, and your relatives and friends, we can gain a better understanding of your hopes, wishes and plans for the future and help to make them achievable.

We aim for discharge to be a planned and positive experience as you move on to the next step of your journey. We will support you all the way.
