Health and wellbeing

Work is a big part of our lives. Typically 73% of the adult population are in employment and spend around 60% of their waking hours in the workplace or commuting. With this in mind, it's important to ensure that we take an active approach to our own health and wellbeing in work (and out!)

We are absolutely committed to promoting the good health and wellbeing of our staff, and offer a range of initiatives and resources including:

  • Mental health support -24/7 emotional support, plus independent counselling provided by our employee assistance programme, Vivup
  • Physical health support - access to our staff gym at Wonford House, along with online opportunities and a physiotherapy service
  • Financial wellbeing support - flexible pay and workplace savings via Wagestream, discounts, and salary sacrifice schemes, including the opportunity to lease a low-emission vehicle
  • Healthy lifestyle support - free NHS health checks and Swap to Stop smoking scheme
  • Team and line manager support - bespoke team workshops, coaching and development opportunities, and training sessions for line managers
  • Domestic abuse support - a range of signposting routes and guidance on how to support colleagues
  • Occupational health - independent specialist medical advice to support employees and managers around health and employment
  • Health and wellbeing champions provide a listening ear, signpost to health and wellbeing support and share feedback on good practice
  • Monthly wellbeing bulletin - each month, we take over the weekly staff bulletin to highlight some of the wellbeing initiatives taking place across the organisation to support you.
