Places are available now for the Exeter Great West Run to support our charity.
The 13.1 mile route has it all; a journey through the city centre, followed by pretty country lanes and stunning views across Exeter and a fantastic stadium finish.
In 2018 we had 11 incredible runners take part and raised over £1,500 to give hope and support to those with mental health and learning disability needs across Devon.
Joanna Friend, Senior Peer Support Worker at our Mother and Baby Unit who took part said, “There was a real buzz around the arena and during the race itself, the marshals were so kind and encouraging”.
Therapist Sharon Vialls said, “The event was well organised, with plenty of drink stations and delicious energy blocks available at Mile 8, which I believe helped me to run up University Streatham Drive without stopping”.
Last year Becky Carpenter took part and raised £425 for our charity. She said: “I found the run itself enjoyable, the atmosphere was brilliant and there was lots of support despite the weather. I think mental health has often been overlooked in the past, maybe seen as not as important as something physical. But I'm pleased to see that seems to be changing now, and am delighted that I was able to raise funds to help in that particular area.”
In return for your free places we ask that you agree to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship.
