Deaf mental health

Studies show that Deaf people who use British Sign Language (BSL) are twice as likely to experience mental health problems compared to the hearing population.

Contacting us

Deaf? You can contact using the InterpretersLive! Video Relay Service. You sign in BSL and the remote BSL/English interpreter connects us.

Urgent? Crisis? You can use the SignVideo app or website to contact NHS 111. The NHS 111 service will connect you to us using a video BSL/English interpreter.

Talking Therapies in BSL

NHS England now has a contract for Talking Therapies with the Deaf health charity SignHealth. This means you can get support directly from a therapist who signs. Find out more on the SignHealth website.
