We have three hubs within our secure services.
Located in Dawlish, Langdon Hospital is the base for inpatient secure mental health services. These services are available to adult males requiring access to medium secure, low secure and open services. Also located in Dawlish are the Community Forensic services who support adult males and females at every stage in their care pathway including inpatient and community settings. Devon Partnership NHS Trust have also developed prison based secure services to provide mental health support to those that need it across the three prisons in Devon.
Our secure services are focused on providing support for those people who have experience with the legal system because of their mental health needs. We aim to provide them with a safe and secure environment that supports their recovery, giving them access to a wide range of treatments, therapies and care options.
Our Community Forensic Services are a newer addition to the Devon Partnership NHS Trust's Forensic Services and are designed to help support adult service users at every stage of their care pathway. There are currently five different teams that offer support to those that need it. Click through to the Community services section to see more detail on what each service does.’pies and care options.’
We believe that carers, families and friends are as important as the person staying at Langdon.
We work hard to develop real partnerships with carers. By providing opportunities for them to share their experiences, we can combine our efforts to improve the services we offer.
