Devon Street Triage

About

We work together with Devon and Cornwall Police to make sure that people who need mental health treatment receive it as quickly as possible. Our service covers the whole of Devon, including Plymouth and Torbay. Referrals to our services are made by the Police from Devon and Cornwall Police service.

Hours

Office hours: 09:00-17:00 Monday-Thursday (09:00-16:30 Fridays)

During office hours our service is provided by Exeter and Central Approved Mental Health Professionals. Police Control Room staff contact the AMHP Team if there are concerns for someone being a risk to themselves or others, where mental health or associated vulnerability is suspected.

Operating hours: every night of the week 18:00-02:00 hours and 09:00-17:00 hours, weekends and bank holidays.

Our specialist mental health practitioners work alongside the police in the Devon and Cornwall Police Control room.  Police Control Room staff will make referrals if there are concerns for someone being a risk to themselves or others, where mental health or associated vulnerability is suspected.
