How we can help

Our service includes a number of specialist teams that can help support those with learning disabilities.

Primary care liaison nursing team

Our service helps and supports adults (over 18) with learning disabilities to access mainstream health services.

Intensive assessment and treatment teams

Our IATT service supports people (aged 18 & over) with learning  disabilities who are experiencing or causing in others high level of distress, often described as “challenging behaviour”.

Acute care liaison teams

For people using the services of an Acute Hospital as an inpatient or outpatient and those with epilepsy being treated by the Neurology Department.

Additional support unit

Our unit provides a service for adults with a learning disability and a mental health condition whose needs can’t be met within mainstream services despite reasonable adjustments.
