Can I be referred to the clinic if I don’t live in Devon?

Our service is available to anyone registered with a GP in England.

If you want us to provide your care, you must be willing to travel to Exeter for clinic appointments.  We do not reimburse any travel expenses.You may be able to claim a refund of reasonable travel costs under the Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme,  but, if not, you will have to pay for your own travel to the clinic in Exeter. 

Having the support of your GP is important to your care. Talk with them about your gender concerns and your hopes for the future. Gender incongruence is an uncommon problem and they may not have experience or knowledge of helping affected people. 

Their involvement, and collaboration in prescribing medications and monitoring your health, is absolutely essential to your care with us; before you are referred, we recommend that you confirm their willingness to work with us in helping you.
