The Little Something Winter Ball, held on Saturday 30 November, was a glittering evening filled with music, dancing, and generosity, raising an incredible £6,745 for Open Up’s Little Something Fund. Hosted at Froginwell Vineyard and Cider Barn near Exeter, the event brought together, family, friends, colleagues and supporters to celebrate the legacy of Charlotte Morley and help families in need.
Charlotte was a passionate and dedicated perinatal mental health practitioner, who left a lasting impact on everyone she worked with before her untimely passing in 2015. The Little Something Fund was created in her memory to support women and families in Devon affected by perinatal mental health issues, providing vital resources and care not covered by NHS services.
The Winter Ball would not have been possible without the kind and generous sponsorship from local business, Kandy Toys. The event was organised by Clare McAdam, Amanda Taylor, and Suzie Luscombe — all friends and colleagues of Charlotte and staff members at Devon Partnership NHS Trust. They volunteered their time and effort to make this evening a memorable success.
Suzie Luscombe, Business Manager, shared her thoughts on the evening and its significance: "Next year marks 10 years since we lost our dear friend and colleague, Charlotte Morley. She was truly inspiring in her work and touched so many lives. The Little Something Fund was set up in her honour to continue helping women and families when they need it most, and we’re so thrilled to see her legacy thriving through events like this."
