Take on this once in a lifetime experience on Sunday 29 September.
Devon Partnership NHS Trust's Charity is asking if you would like to take part in a 15,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for charitable funds to benefit the people who use our services in a number of ways. Examples could be a therapy session which stimulates memories, the transformation of space to improve wellbeing, participating in an activity or purchasing of equipment or materials to support people's recovery.
We’ve teamed up with Skydive Buzz, based in Dunkeswell Airfield near Honiton who will provide you with a parachute, an experienced instructor and everything you’ll need to have an unforgettable jump. On Sunday 29 September (9am or 10am), if this doesn't suit you then feel free to book something that suits you better.

JustGiving
A great way to get your fundraising started is to set up an online sponsorship page through our JustGiving page and share this with friends and family to start off donations.
You will be provided with a fundraising pack and can get advise and support any time from Daniel Robson, Head of Charity Fundraising
Beech Unit received £12,000 from charitable funds to regenerate their internal courtyard, an area that provides a tranquil environment and welcome release for patients and their families. Sally-Anne Pritchard, Ward Manager, said, “The recreational space is a beautiful place to catch the sun, take a break from the hospital setting and spend a moment outside with friends and family”. Through charitable funds Beech was able to rebuild this amazing space, which encourages health and wellbeing and is used throughout the whole year.

All you have to do is commit to raising £395 (or more!) in sponsorship which is broken down into three amounts:
What are the fitness requirements?
You don’t have to be super fit to skydive, but you do need to be generally in good health. The standard upper weight limit is 15 stone / 95 kilos fully clothed. Please call Skydive Buzz if you are between 15 and 18 stone. The minimum age is 16 years and there is no upper age limit. If you are aged between 16 and 18 you must obtain a parent or guardian's consent. If you have any medical conditions you must consult your GP to sign and stamp the BPA medical form. These forms are available on request, or will be sent to you with confirmation once a booking has been confirmed. Please bring these forms with you on the day of your jump (do not post), without these forms you will be unable to jump and you will lose your deposit. For full terms and conditions please visit www.skydiveukltd.com.
What will happen on the day?
You will meet your instructor who will prepare you for your tandem skydive. You then climb on-board the aircraft, where your instructor will tighten your harness as you ride up 15,000ft. Once at altitude, the door will open; you will feel a rush of air and noise as you edge towards the door. A few words of encouragement will come from your instructor and you're off!! You will experience speeds of an adrenaline pumping 120mph while freefalling up to two miles! As the large canopy unfolds, you will become aware of the sudden peace, quiet and tranquillity. You may even be able to help your Instructor steer the parachute around the sky before gliding back to the airfield. Skydive Buzz offer photos and films packages and all the information is available on their website at www.skydiveukltd.com. Please note sponsorship money cannot be used to pay for this.
The information above should go some way to answering your questions, but if for any reason it doesn’t please contact Daniel Robson, Head of Charity Fundraising on 07772 156163, or email daniel.robson3@nhs.net.
