Team cycle challenge for World Mental Health Day

On World Mental Health Day, Thursday 10 October, our Physical Therapies Team at Langdon Hospital are taking on a challenge to cycle 230km in just one day on a spin bike which will be positioned in the Dewnans reception area. The whole team are getting involved and patients will be encouraged to join in too.

The team has chosen 230km as the target as this is the distance between our teams in Plymouth (Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team - South and West Devon) and in Bristol where we provide dementia wellbeing services.

Lead Physical Health Practitioner, Jack Phillips, comments: “We would really appreciate any support you can give us as the monies raised will all be used to take our patients on a recreational activity to celebrate their achievements in reaching physical health goals with us. It’s a great achievement and we are so proud of them.

“As it’s World Mental Health Day, we will also be sharing some information about mental health and debunking some myths.”
