To mark T Level Thursday (Thursday 13 February 2025), our Early Careers teams has produced a podcast exploring the key benefits of T Level industry placements. This discussion highlights how these placements support both students and our organisation while shaping the future of the NHS.
T Levels provide a valuable opportunity to nurture young talent and tackle skills shortages within our teams. These placements not only help students develop their careers but also bring fresh perspectives and practical skills to our organisation.
In the first Early Careers podcast, Lucy Drury, Practice Education Assistant, and Pauline Champion, Early Career and Volunteer Coordinator, discuss:
Pauline Champion commented: “T Levels have been a fantastic way for us to introduce fresh perspectives and the latest skills to the organisation, while also discovering new talent for the future. By offering insights and industry placements to 71 students aged 16-18 years, we’ve been able to highlight the many career opportunities in Mental Health and Learning Disabilities.
“Many of these professions are not widely recognised or seen as a possibility within our sector, so it’s been a rewarding experience to share the breadth of careers available. It’s truly exciting to see how these students are not only learning but also helping to shape the future of the sector.”
