On Monday 7 October, Melanie Walker, Chief Executive and Dr Peter Aitken joined Torbay based Lions Barber Collective as their founder Tom Chapman cut hair in Barber-Surgeons Hall in the City of London for the first time in centuries to raise the profile of their vital suicide prevention work.

The event, opened by Totnes MP Sarah Wollaston, heard words of support from National Clinical Director Claire Murdoch and the Lady Mayoress of the City of London.

The occasion was sponsored by the City of London Corporation as part of its suicide prevention work and was attended by a diverse group of civic, political, health and business leaders keen to support the work.
