Staff taking on skydive to support our Charity

Posted by Devon Partnership Trust in Charity, News on 13th September, 2021

On Saturday 25 September Angela Moon and Madeleine Wakeham are taking on a 15,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for our DPT Charity to support mental health and learning disability services.

Angela MoonAngela, Specialist Occupational Therapist, said: “I'm always positively challenged by the amazing way our clients adapt and overcome the many issues they face on a daily basis and the support we are able to offer them; their families and carers as well as how all DPT staff have responded to COVID-19 had what throw at us. I want to contribute in any way I can to enhance what we can offer to support clients / carers and staff. I saw the article on another member of staff doing the jump for DPT Charity and was inspired to book onto it – did so and then thought “what have I just done?” – I am now looking forward to it."

Madeleine WakehamMadeleine, Apprentice Learning Disability Nurse, said: “I am new to DPT but have worked with adults with learning disability for a few years now and it's something I am immensely passionate about. The past year has taken its toll on everyone but particularly mental health and I want to help in any way I can."
