On Saturday 25 September Angela Moon and Madeleine Wakeham are taking on a 15,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for our DPT Charity to support mental health and learning disability services.
Angela, Specialist Occupational Therapist, said: “I'm always positively challenged by the amazing way our clients adapt and overcome the many issues they face on a daily basis and the support we are able to offer them; their families and carers as well as how all DPT staff have responded to COVID-19 had what throw at us. I want to contribute in any way I can to enhance what we can offer to support clients / carers and staff. I saw the article on another member of staff doing the jump for DPT Charity and was inspired to book onto it – did so and then thought “what have I just done?” – I am now looking forward to it."
Madeleine, Apprentice Learning Disability Nurse, said: “I am new to DPT but have worked with adults with learning disability for a few years now and it's something I am immensely passionate about. The past year has taken its toll on everyone but particularly mental health and I want to help in any way I can."
