Staff Achievement Awards 2007- Call for nominations

Nominations can now be submitted for Devon Partnership NHS Trust's Staff Achievement Awards 2007. The awards recognise commitment and special achievements and are a way for the Trust to formally thank and recognise staff for their valuable contribution in providing the best quality care for our service users and those that look after them. The awards celebrate success across the Trust and there are seven categories to choose from: 

• The Improving the Life of a Service User and/or Carer Award
• The Service User and/or Carer Involvement Award
• The Outstanding Contribution to Work Award
• The Team of the Year Award
• The Partnership Working Award
• The Creativity and Innovation Award
• The Lifetime Achievement Award.

Only service users and carers can make nominations in the first two categories.  The awards ceremony will take place on 16th July 2007 and will be held once again in The Ballroom at Wonford House Hospital in Exeter. Award winners will receive £100 for individuals and £150 for teams. As Keith Portlock, Chair comments: "This is the fifth year for the awards and I hope will be our most successful to date. I appreciate that many of our staff have been living through periods of uncertainty and change as we redesign our services, but throughout they continue to do great work and it's important this is recognised. The awards are one way we can do this and also to make staff feel valued for what they do."  The closing date to receive nominations is 24th April 2007 and the judging will take place on 18th May 2007.
