At Open Up, the official charity of the Devon Partnership NHS Trust, we are thrilled to celebrate the incredible success of the Children and Family Health Devon (CFHD) Christmas Hamper Campaign, now in its fifth year. Thanks to the generosity of our community, 250 hampers have been packed and are ready to bring hope, joy, and warmth to young people in care and care experienced across Devon and Torbay.
Every hamper, filled with essentials, gifts, and festive treats, is a powerful reminder to these young people—many of whom face challenging circumstances—that they are valued, cared for and not forgotten.
A growing campaign making a bigger impact:
What began as a small initiative in 2020, with just 100 hampers, has grown significantly. This year’s 250 hampers highlight how much this project has flourished thanks to the incredible support from local businesses, colleagues and generous donors like you.
Jade Simmons, CFHD Clinical Team Manager for Children in Care and Care Experienced Adults, explains: “Through this project, we aim to show young people and care leavers that they are held in mind and supported. A hamper might seem small, but it can make a huge difference in bringing joy and a sense of belonging.”
