Salus Ward to open next week

Salus Ward entrance Our newly-constructed ward in Torbay, Salus, is due to open on Monday 15 May. The ward provides a range of facilities, including treatment and therapy rooms, a family room, 16 en-suite bedrooms as well as offices for staff, a main reception and waiting area.

JP Mentiply, Ward Manager, said: "To ensure a smooth transition for patients the transfer from Haytor Ward to Salus will be taking place over a two-week period. The team are excited to welcome patients to the new ward and look forward to providing them with continued excellent care and support.

"Thanks to the hard work, enthusiasm and commitment of everyone involved to get the ward ready, including Haytor and Salus Ward teams, Estates and Facilities, supported by the PMO. We invite you to join us in celebrating this milestone as we mark the opening of Salus Ward."

As part of the commitment to supporting the local community during the building work we have again partnered with Hospital Rooms, an arts and mental health charity, who have created artworks for our three inpatient mental health wards at the hospital.
