Russell Clinic make huge donation to Exeter Food Bank

Posted by Devon Partnership Trust in #ProudofDPT, Charity, News on 13th December, 2019

This year instead of doing a secret santa Russell Clinic staff and residents decided to make a donation to Exeter Food Bank.  Exeter Food Bank is part of the Trussell Trust’s network of 428 food banks working to tackle food poverty and hunger across the UK.

Stephany Phillips, Russell Clinic Ward Manager comments: "We have been talking in our weekly residents meeting about Five Ways to Wellbeing and the benefits of giving to others, leading to several of our current residents, their families and our staff contributing to the food bank donation. Together we managed to collect 40.5kgs of items, which one of our residents and staff dropped off to the Exeter Food bank at Orange Elephant, where they are currently based."

Russell Clinic Russell is a 16 bed unit located in Wonford House in Exeter. Our purpose is to support people in their recovery through a wide range of rehabilitation resources in a residential setting. We work with men and women and believe in working alongside people to support them in building a meaningful and satisfying life.
