The Programme Management Office (PMO) proudly received ISO 9001:2015 certification from the British Assessment Bureau last week. This accolade is a milestone in the PMO's continuing development. It is also the culmination of ten months of planning and implementing their quality management system (QMS).
The certification demonstrates compliance to an internationally recognised standard. It is a clear signal to stakeholders of continuous improvement.
Kevin Grady, Assistant Director of Transformation, commented: “This is an immense achievement for the PMO. It represents our vision of building a management system that enables us to continue delivering a quality service, bring value to our stakeholders and to contribute to the wider Trust's mission of developing DPT as a centre of excellence."
What is a quality management system?
A quality management system (QMS) is a formalised system that documents processes, procedures, and responsibilities for achieving quality policies and objectives. A QMS helps co-ordinate and direct an organisation’s activities to meet customer and regulatory requirements and improve its effectiveness and efficiency on a continuous basis.
