Paul Tucker is celebrating after securing podium wins at this year's British Transplant Games, held in North Lanarkshire, Scotland.
This is Paul’s third games and he won gold in Tennis Singles and Badminton Doubles, Silver in Long Jump, Bronze in Volleyball and completed the 5km run with his niece (who was his living donor) and his two god children.
After years of chronic kidney disease, Paul had his kidney transplant in May 2014 at Plymouth's Derriford Hospital. He has always been an avid sports fan and in recent years had struggled to play tennis, the sport he loves.
He said "Without our amazing donors and donor families this just would not have been possible. The games is all about promoting the benefits of organ donation and without these special people many of us would not be here, yet alone competing in the games."
