Online resource for people with experiences of psychosis

Posted by Devon Partnership Trust in News, Research on 8th April, 2020

Our Research and Development team are supporting a project called NEON - Narrative Experiences ONline. NEON is testing whether people benefit from viewing, hearing and reading real-life recovery stories.

Participants will either be given immediate access to the NEON collective of recovery stories for a year, or will receive access after one year for a least a few months.

Participants will fill out a questionnaire (at registration, after 1 week, 12 weeks and 52 weeks) to collect evidence about the impact of receiving or not receiving access to recovery stories.

The team are recruiting people to participate in 3 trials:
  • The NEON Trial is for people with experience of psychosis in the last 5 years
  • The NEON-O Trial is for people with experience of other mental health problems
  • The NEON-C Trial is for people who care for others affected by mental health problems
Being able to direct people using our services to an online resource in particular during this difficult time of social distancing and self-isolation, we think it might really help people feeling isolated, and just being part of something might help people feel positive.
