New part-time volunteering opportunities

Posted by Devon Partnership Trust in News on 26th February, 2018

Do you enjoy working with people?
Are you passionate about mental health and learning disability?
Are you looking to get more involved with your local community?

If this sounds like you, Haytor Ward needs you!

We provide mental health and learning disability services, as well as a range of specialist and secure services for the wider south west region and nationally. Haytor Ward is located on the Torbay Hospital site in Torquay. It provides assessment and treatment for adults with mental health needs.

We run daily activities for patients but are hoping to increase the amount on offer and are looking for volunteers who have a skill that they can share by facilitating a group activity.

We know that your time is precious so we will work with you to make sure you get the most out of your experience with us.

If you are a good communicator and have facilitation skills, we’d love to hear from you.

We are looking for someone who:
  • Has a specific skill (for example yoga, Tai Chi, pottery, music, singing, creative writing, arts and crafts, mindfullness, IT skills)
  • Has group facilitation skills
  • Has excellent communication skills
  • Is personable
If this sounds like you, please register your interest by emailing dpn-tr.DPTVolunteers@nhs.net.
