This week has seen the start of a tour across our wards from Moving InWards.

Moving InWards provide music performances and workshops in mental health settings. They also provides training and packages that include instruments to help train staff to continue the work throughout the service.

Originally funded by the Arts Council England they have provided music workshops in adult mental health wards, older people’s mental health wards as well as forensic settings.

The tour kicked off on Wednesday with a ukulele session at Dewnans Centre, Langdon, followed by a performance at Haytor Ward in Torbay, leaving behind 20 ukuleles for the workshops to continue.

Today the band - Refuge - head to The Iris Centre with final performances taking place at Russell Clinic and The Cedars on Monday.
