We would like to congratulate the following Learning Disability nurses who have been presented with the ‘Outstanding Contribution to Education 2019’ award at the Horizon Centre, Torbay Hospital.

Pictured left to right in the photo are:

Jenny Piedot – Epilepsy Specialist Nurse (Torbay & Southern Devon NHS Trust)
Sandra George – Primary Care Liaison Nurse, West Devon Team
Marion Saunders and Raine Rowsell (not pictured) – Learning Disability Epilepsy Specialist Nurses
Deborah Wakeham – Primary Care Liaison Nurse, Paignton / Brixham zone
Rachel Salloway – Primary Care Liaison Nurse, Torquay zone

Between them, these nurses support the delivery of epilepsy training at the Horizon Centre at Torbay Hospital. This training is for anyone providing care and support to people who have epilepsy, living in Torbay or South Devon.

Another celebration of the amazing contribution of learning disability nurses to wider partnership working to improve the quality of care for people with learning disabilities and epilepsy.
