Gislaine filmingThis week, during Occupational Therapy Week, we have launched a recruitment campaign aimed at Occupational Therapists who may wish to relocate to the UK to work with us.

The Recruitment Team received funding from NHS England to run a campaign targeting internationally educated Occupational Therapists.

Last month, with the help of professional filmmakers, we spoke to Gislaine Cruz, Occupational Therapist and Mental Health Practitioner, about her move to the UK from Brazil and why she loves her role and the opportunities it has given her.

Gislaine, who has recently been promoted to Senior Mental Health Practitioner in the Community Mental Health Team, said: "I really enjoyed being part of the recruitment campaign. It was a fun process and I've enjoyed inviting my colleagues from Brazil to join DPT. Moving to Devon has been one adventure. I would encourage others to consider a career move to the UK, this experience will definitely help in your professional development and will change your life."

A two-minute film was produced along with a selection of shorter versions, translated into Portuguese, which are being promoted on Facebook and LinkedIn.

Adverts will be shown to those who may be interested in a move to the UK and they will be directed to a dedicated landing page on our jobs website with more information, which can be viewed here.

We will also be promoting the films on our social media recruitment channels on X (formerly Twitter), Facebook and LinkedIn - please share!
