The National Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards took place at a glittering ceremony at The Troxy in London last night.

We had nine teams shortlisted and are very proud to say that we came away with six wins and three highly commended awards.

Congratulations to everyone.

  • Complex Needs - Iris Centre
  • Primary and Community Mental Health - Exmouth CMHT
  • Specialist Services - Bristol Dementia Wellbeing Service
  • Community Forensic – Innovation in Community MH

Highly commended

  • Covid Team of the Year - Community Forensic Service
  • Forensic Secure Services - HMP Exeter Mental Health Team
  • Integration of Physical and Mental Health Care - Physical Therapies Team

The 2021 awards were open to teams, services and projects in the NHS, Social Care, Third Sector, and the Independent Sector for nominations across England, Wales and Scotland.

Melanie Walker, Chief Executive, said: "At what was a hugely uplifting evening for our organisation and all of our staff, we won an incredible six awards and were Highly Commended in three other categories. This comes hot on the heels of our recent success at the Health Service Journal Patient Safety Awards a few weeks ago and, along with our positive CQC report, provides very encouraging recognition of the progress that we are making in many areas. On behalf of myself and the Board, congratulations to everyone concerned - we are all very proud."

Congratulations again to everyone. Reactions were shared by our teams on Twitter last night as the results came in.
