The NHS celebrates its 73rd Birthday on Monday 5 July and there are a number of events happening across the weekend.
On Saturday 3 July, the NHS will hold a special memorial service in the Blossom Memorial Garden in East London to remember NHS colleagues who have sadly died during the COVID-19 pandemic. Find out more about the memorial service.
Light It Blue
On Saturday 3 July, landmark buildings in towns and cities across the country will ‘light up blue’ to help the NHS celebrate. Find out more about Light It Blue.
Thank You Day
On Sunday 4 July, the Together coalition will lead a national day of thanks and recognition to celebrate the work of NHS staff, all key workers and others in our communities who have helped throughout the last year. Find out more about Thank You Day.
NHS Big Tea
On Monday 5 July the #NHSBigTea, hosted by NHS Charities Together, is an opportunity to come together and thank NHS staff and our communities for the incredible role they have played over the last year.
