NHS counter fraud professionals are taking centre stage this week as a new TV documentary called ‘Fraud Squad NHS’ is shown on BBC One. The programme follows the work of NHS investigators as they track down the fraudsters who target the NHS.

The five-part series has been on air every day at 9.15am from Monday 4 February and ends on Friday 8 February. However, each episode will be available for one month on the BBC iPlayer. Click here to view the episodes.

The documentaries feature a selection of recent, successful prosecutions of NHS fraud. These are cases led by investigators who work for the NHSCFA (NHS Counter Fraud Authority).

The NHSCFA media relations team has worked closely with production company Brown Bob (perhaps best known for their ‘Inside the Ambulance’ series) over the last 18 months to make this programme a reality.

An overview of the five episodes, the topics covered and the organisations featured in them is available here.
