Exeter Great West Run places to support our charity

Places are available now for the Exeter Great West Run on Sunday 13th October to support our charity.

Donations enable us to provide above and beyond what the NHS is able to fund. This could be a therapy session which stimulates memories, the increased capacity of a vital service, or the transformation of a space which allows our patients to thrive.

The 13.1 mile route has it all; a journey through the city centre, followed by pretty country lanes and stunning views across Exeter and a fantastic stadium finish.

Last year we had 11 incredible runners take part and raised over £1,500 to give hope and support to those with mental health and learning disability needs across Devon.

Joanna Friend, Senior Peer Support Worker at our Mother and Baby Unit who took part in 2018 said, “There was a real buzz around the arena and during the race itself, the marshals were so kind and encouraging”.

Therapist Sharon Vialls said, “The event was well organised, with plenty of drink stations and delicious energy blocks available at Mile 8, which I believe helped me to run up University Streatham Drive without stopping”.
So grab your running shoes and take on this challenge in 2019! To book your place please email Daniel Robson, Head of Charity Fundraising at daniel.robson3@nhs.net
