This week is Eating Disorders Awareness Week. This year's campaign by BEAT aims to raise awareness of Binge Eating Disorder, which is experienced by one in fifty people in their lifetime.
The Haldon in Exeter has a number of events planned to raise awareness during the week.
Lindsay Rook, Eating Disorders Service Manager said: "We have activities planned across the week, including a craft project using BEAT resources that will encourage patients and staff to express their thoughts and feelings in relation to their experience of eating disorders. On Friday we will be raising money for BEAT with Odd Socks Day, where we will be wearing odd socks to raise awareness of Eating Disorders and donating funds raised to BEAT."
