On Saturday 24 September Sal Aziz, Personal Assistant at Devon Partnership NHS Trust is taking on a 15,000ft tandem skydive to raise money for our DPT Charity to support Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Sal said: “I was in a meeting where one of the topics discussed was the DPT charity, and how this could be used to support our services. Not long after this meeting, I saw an article on our staff intranet around fundraising for the DPT Charity, which included information about skydiving. The opportunity to fundraise by jumping out of a plane seemed to exciting to pass up! I feel people should fundraise for the NHS as the money raised allows services to do amazing things for their clients, service users and staff that just wouldn’t be possible. It is also a great opportunity to try something new, or to push yourself to overcome a new challenge and thank you to everyone who has supported with this."

Join the Team DRLC at Exmoor's Open Water Swim at Wimbleball Lake on Sunday 25 September and get 40% off any distance of swim you choose.
Caroline Nicholson, Devon Recovery Learning Community Manager said: “Last year, those new to cold water swimming and outdoor swimming mostly chose to swim the 1km distance. I swam the 2km distance. My swim time was an hour and a half because I swam the whole course using the relaxed and slower paced breaststroke, but I felt great, if not pretty tired after. This year I will be taking a few lessons to improve my technique and so have entered the 2km again. Remember, this is not a competition - whatever length or time it takes to swim will be a massive achievement for you. Entering the swim gave me a goal to work towards and I was hugely proud of myself afterwards. Anyone can join the Team to raise funds for DPT Charity, but also to raise more awareness around the benefits of open water and cold-water immersion swimming."
