Devon Partnership NHS Trust shortlisted for Best UK Employer Award

The Nursing Times has today announced that we have been shortlisted for their 2018 "Best UK Employer Award".

The Nursing Times Awards is a prestigious event which aims to highlight and reward examples of exemplary work by employers within the nursing workforce. Among the reasons for us being shortlisted are our approaches to our recruitment experience, our focus on staff engagement, wellbeing and support and the use of collaboration on our projects. With a focus on the issue of the national shortage of Registered Mental Health Nurses and Learning Disability Nurses, some of the projects addressed within our nomination were our reduction of nursing vacancies by 20%, the increased morale and motivation of our teams and the extension of career pathways.

Steve Ford, editor of Nursing Times, said: “Through the awards we will highlight organisations that are already delivering exceptional experiences for employees – whether through preceptorship, training and career development or wellbeing initiatives.”

The awards will take place at a one day summit in London on October 4 2018.
