Community Mental Health Service Manager John Lilley has been announced as a finalist in The RCNi Nurse Awards.
John was nominated in the 'Mental Health Nursing Award' category for his work in the creation of a nurse-led student mental health team at The University of Exeter, known at UCMHT.
The service focuses on students with moderate to severe mental health conditions such as eating disorders, emerging personality disorders and mood disorders.
Three Senior Mental Health Practitioners, Rebecca Herniman, Alex Williams and and Leanne McCollin are based on the University of Exeter’s Streatham campus, in order to provide direct support to students.
The service is funded by us, the University of Exeter and Devon County Council/the CCG via the improving Better Care Fund (iBFC).
The awards will be held on Wednesday 3 July in London.
