Charitable funds supporting our staff and patients during the pandemic

Posted by Devon Partnership Trust in Charity, News, Recovery and wellbeing on 2nd June, 2020

We have been overwhelmed with the support from our communities locally and nationally, who want to help our organisation and the NHS during this difficult time. Along with our direct fundraisers, we are also being awarded grants from NHS Charities Together to support the immediate impact COVID-19 is having on our staff, patients and volunteers.

We have seen some wonderful fundraising activities for our COVID-19 appeal, from a 'Dress like a pirate' themed day to 'socially distanced bingo' in a local community to raise funds.

Here are just some of the ways that funds have been used to enhance our services for those who use them and our staff:

  • Plants, equipment to make a mosaic, yoga mats, piano repair for the Beech Unit, Torbay
  • Bath salt kits for staff and wellbeing items for the staff isolation area at Jasmine Lodge, Mother and Baby Unit in Exeter
  • Refreshments for staff, courtyard furniture, bird feeding table, silent disco equipment and a portable projector to watch films at Langdon Hospital
  • Toiletries for patients at Belvedere Ward, Franklyn Hospital
  • Wellbeing items, garden furniture and a bird feeding table at the Additional Support Unit, Exeter

Thank you to everyone who has supported our charity.
