There are many exhilarating challenges that you could do to support our DPT Charity.
Louise and Matthew are taking on the UK 3 Peaks and have chosen to raise money for our charity. The '3 peaks challenge' is a 24 hour journey across the UK to climb the three highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales. Over one full day will be travelling between Ben Nevis in Scotland down to Scafell Pike in England and ending with Snowdon in Wales. This amounts to a complete distance of 23 miles (37km) and a total ascent of 3064 metres (10,052ft). This is the equivalent of climbing 1474 flights of stairs!
Louise said: "We feel that being able to support local charities is extremely important especially in the present climate. In addition to this the essence of the charity itself is so important, looking out for those with mental health needs and providing a much needed sense of community to people who are looking for help. We all know someone who is or has struggled with mental illness and after last year we believe that services like this one should be accessible to as many people as possible for the foreseeable future." To help them reach their £1,000 target you can click here to donate.
Along with the UK 3 Peaks challenge there are a variety of ways you can support the DPT Charity which also include skydiving, Torbay Half Marathon and Snowdon Night Trek, visit our charity events page to find out more.
