Congratulations to Beech Ward who have been accredited under the Royal College of Psychiatrists QNOAMHS scheme. QNOAMHS - The Quality Network for Older Adults Mental Health Services -  works with wards who are providing services to older people and engages staff and people who use services in a comprehensive process of self and peer review for the purposes of accreditation and quality improvement. Good practice and high quality care are recognised and services are supported to identify areas for improvement.

Mark Harrison, Consultant Psychiatrist, and Maria Kushnirov, Senior Staff Nurse at Beech were notified of the decision on 18 July 2019.

Mark comments: "We are so proud of this achievement. Beech is the first ward at DPT to achieve this accreditation. I would like to thank the whole team at Beech for their hard work and also those that supported us to apply and who helped to get us through the process."

The accreditation runs from 26 June 2019 – 3 December 2021.
