Congratulations to the Informatics Team, who have won at the Association of Professional Healthcare Analysts Awards. The team were presented with the AphA Analytical Team of the Year award 2018 at the AphA Conference in Cardiff yesterday. The award seeks to recognise an analytics team making an outstanding contribution through excellent service delivery and engagement with service users.

There were six shortlisted organisations; Aneurin Bevan University Health Board, NHS Wales Delivery Unit, NHS Improvement, Royal Cornwall Hospital Trust and Poole Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The Informatics Team went on to beat three finalists to win the top prize for a range of projects including the marked improvement in safety and quality, and waiting times, delivered in near real-time for their 'Ward to Board' interactive dashboard.

Rony Arafin, Assistant Director of Informatics, said: "I’m so proud, I’m blessed with highly skilled professionals in our team, your efforts are recognised at a national level and, shows once again that we are a highly performing Analytical Team – very well done everyone!!"

The team will receive a formal presentation of the Dolphin Trophy by Paul Stoner, CEO of AphA, in the next few weeks.
