Ready to bounce, slide and leap your way towards better mental health? Join us in supporting Arthur and his mum, Sarah, as they take on the Exeter Inflatable 5K on Saturday 9 August in support of our charity, Open Up. Help them reach their target and support mental health services across Devon by donating to their JustGiving page.
Arthur recently discovered a love for running, starting with a simple goal of completing a parkrun. As an avid runner, Sarah was overjoyed when Arthur expressed his desire to run alongside her. This challenge became the perfect opportunity to bond while building fitness and having fun together.
But their motivation doesn’t stop at personal goals. Arthur and Sarah have always been grateful for the incredible support they’ve received from the NHS, describing their care as nothing short of "star treatment." Now, they’re giving something back by fundraising for Open Up and helping to support mental wellbeing services in Devon and beyond.
Arthur has already completed his first parkrun and, like many new runners, learnt an important lesson in pacing. With every training run, he’s growing more confident and more excited for the Inflatable 5K ahead.
The Exeter Inflatable 5K is the world’s biggest inflatable obstacle course, offering an adrenaline-pumping experience like no other. With giant slides, bouncy tunnels and wobbly challenges, this event is perfect for all ages and fitness levels.
Open Up is offering a limited number of free places for those who are passionate about supporting mental wellbeing services. In return, we kindly ask each participant to raise a minimum of £100 in sponsorship to help make a real difference in the lives of those we support.
Whether you run solo, with friends or with family, this is a unique and energetic way to make a difference.
