Angela Rippon supports dementia awareness in Tavistock

Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Stephen Pearson was the guest speaker at a recent event in Tavistock, hosted by the Devon Senior Voice group, to raise awareness and understanding about dementia. He was joined by colleagues Nellie Minnema, Rob Bricknell and Gary Hodge and the event was also supported by writer and broadcaster Angela Rippon. Stephen says: "This was a great event and one that provided a perfect opportunity to talk to members of the local community about dementia. There was a huge level of interest in the subject and I was able to dispel some myths about the illness, as well as talk about the importance of early diagnosis, treatment and what can be done to support families and carers."
