£500 for St John’s Court in Exmouth

St John’s Court held its Annual Garden Party on 28th June. The event was well attended and the weather was kind, with the rain staying away. Entertainment from the Shanty-men Singers was thoroughly enjoyed by all and was followed by a cream tea. During the event the Otter Lodge, Exmouth Branch of The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes kindly presented a cheque for £500, which they have raised to pay for new patio furniture for the use of patients at the mental health assessment unit. A raffle and plant sale on the day raised a further
£220 for patient trust funds. As Sue Talbot, Manager at St John’s, comments: “We are extremely grateful to the Buffaloes for continuing to raise money for the hospital and our patients. They have now raised over £2,000 and we cannot thank them enough. We are able to purchase those extra things that make all the difference for our patients.”
