St John’s Court held its Annual Garden Party on 28th June. The event was well attended and the weather was kind, with the rain staying away. Entertainment from the Shanty-men Singers was thoroughly enjoyed by all and was followed by a cream tea.
During the event the Otter Lodge, Exmouth Branch of The Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes kindly presented a cheque for £500, which they have raised to pay for new patio furniture for the use of patients at the mental health assessment unit. A raffle and plant sale on the day raised a further
£220 for patient trust funds.
As Sue Talbot, Manager at St John’s, comments:
“We are extremely grateful to the Buffaloes for continuing to raise money for the hospital and our patients. They have now raised over £2,000 and we cannot thank them enough. We are able to purchase those extra things that make all the difference for our patients.”
