Description

Our older people’s community mental health teams provide assessment and treatment of older adults who are experiencing mental health problems such as bipolar, depression, anxiety disorders or schizophrenia. 

We also provide a service to people of any age who are experiencing behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia.  Our staff work in the Devon Memory Service which provides the majority of assessments and post diagnostic support for people with early dementia.  Referrals are made via the person’s GP.

We are a multidisciplinary team made up of doctors, nurses, occupational therapists and psychologists.  The team work also work closely with social services, primary care and voluntary organisations
