I’m having suicidal thoughts

If you feel suicidal then you need to speak to someone immediately.


If you are feeling suicidal, or having suicidal thoughts you need to get help as soon as possible.

What to do

If you don’t feel safe right now, then seek help immediately. You can call 999 or get a friend, relative or loved one to do it for you. Learn more

If you don’t feel you need help straight away, then there are alternatives.

If you need help and advice at any time (24/7, 365 days per year) then you can contact the Samaritans on 116 123. Learn more

You can speak to your GP and arrange an appointment, either by speaking to the surgery or calling the out-of-hours service. You can also call 111 (in England) or NHS Direct (if you are in Wales) on: 0845 46 47.
