Following our latest focused inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), we are pleased to announce that our organisation has maintained its overall rating of ‘good’.
Melanie Walker, Chief Executive comments: "The CQC’s report highlights many areas of good practice and I am especially pleased that our inpatient services for older people have been rated as ‘outstanding’. Our Secure services maintained their rating of 'outstanding' and our service for people with a learning disability or autism maintained its rating of ‘good’.
The Trust Board takes the concerns regarding adult community mental health teams very seriously – and we had already started to take action before the CQC conducted their inspection. The new national guidance and additional funding for these services will help us to deliver the necessary improvements. We have already recruited new staff and are closely monitoring progress.
Our focus on safety and quality improvement continues across all of our services."
