Direct services

Direct services may be available if you have specific issues which have been identified in your health and wellbeing check.

If you are a carer you will have eligible needs if:
  • your needs arise as a consequence of providing necessary care for an adult – it must be necessary care that the person can’t provide for themselves
  • the effect of your needs is that any of the circumstances specified in the Care and Support (Eligibility Criteria) Regulations 2014  apply to you
  • as a consequence there is, or likely to be, a significant impact on your wellbeing.

The assessment of your needs is made regardless of whether or not the person you care for has eligible needs.

Help us provide better care. Please complete a short online survey about your experience as a carer. You can follow this link to the survey or use the QR code.
